Straight off a plane from Vancouver (where Tom Cruise is currently shooting Mission Impossible 4), Katie Holmes turned her birthday weekend into a family affair.

Flanked by her hubby of four years and daughter Suri, The Romantics actress caught a showing of the New York City Ballet's production of The Nutcracker Friday.

The 4-year-old tot, who sported pink Uggs and a lavender silk dress, munched on gummy bears from the concession stand once the show ended. Holmes, who turned 32 the following day, beamed as Cruise, 48, held Suri in his arms when they met the sugarplum fairies backstage.
