Sandra Bullock has always been called the ?girl-next-door?. Now it?s official. A Zillow poll of most desirable celebrity neighbors puts Sandra Bullock right at the top, with more than a quarter of the total vote, reportsComcast.net. Zillow is an online real estate marketplace, so they know something about neighbors, good and bad. And that?s what the just-for-fun poll selects: neighbors good and bad.
Bullock?s selection brings no surprise at all. She has been on a career roll this year, with a feel-good hit film, a Best Actress Academy Award, a host of other awards and prizes?and, of course, a new adopted baby, Louis. Most compelling of all, she rose above a cheating husband, rid herself of him, went ahead with the adoption, and had the class to share Louis with her ex at Christmas time. Who wouldn?t want a neighbor like Sandra Bullock?
Sandra was a shoo-in, butprnewswire.com says more women voted for her than men. Does that mean men are sympathizing with Jesse James? It?s the next choices where things get interesting.
Sarah Palin came in at number 2. Didn?t she just build a big fence to wall herself off from writer Joe Mcguiness who wanted to be her real-life next-door neighbor? She could be lacking a few points there in friendliness. So what if he wanted to spy? Most folks would just have laughed it off.
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia DeRossi moved up to number 3, stepping ahead of the Obama family, now in at number 4. It could get crowded, what with a garden and a big dog and all those Secret Service people coming and going, not to mention Ellen and Portia?s furry friends.
Fifth is Conan O?Brien. Watch those early morning lawn mowers; he works nights. Sandra Bullock, most popular, could run for neighborhood council.
