'The King's Speech' Takes Best Picture at Oscars (Full List Of Winners)

The King's Speech ruled over the 2011 Academy Awards on Sunday, taking home four honors including Best Picture and Best Actor for the movie's star, Colin Firth.

The royal drama, about stuttering British monarch George VI, led the competition with 12 nominations going into this year's Oscars, and edged out the likes of Black Swan, The Fighter, Inception and The Social Network to claim the most coveted title of the night.

Firth was crowned Best Actor in a Leading Role, emerging triumphant over Javier Bardem (Biutiful), Jeff Bridges (True Grit), Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network) and James Franco (127 Hours).

Filmmaker Tom Hooper also basked in Oscar glory as he was hailed Best Director, beating Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan), David O. Russell (The Fighter), David Fincher (The Social Network) and Joel and Ethan Coen (True Grit).

Pregnant Natalie Portman fought back tears as she walked away with Best Actress in a Leading Role for her portrayal of a tormented ballet dancer in Black Swan, ahead of Annette Bening (The Kids Are All Right), Nicole Kidman (Rabbit Hole), Jennifer Lawrence (Winter's Bone) and Michelle Williams (Blue Valentine).

She gave special thanks to her Black Swan choreographer and fiance Benjamin Millepied, telling the audience, "So many people helped me prepare for this role... my beautiful love, Benjamin Millepied who choreographed the film and has now given me the most important role of my life."

It was also a golden night for The Fighter, about tough Boston, Massachusetts boxing legends Mickey Ward and Dickie Eklund, as Christian Bale and Melissa Leo dominated the Best Supporting categories.

Meanwhile, moviemaker Francis Ford Coppola, actor Eli Wallach and historian Kevin Brownlow were given a standing ovation in recognition of the lifetime achievement honors they received at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Governors Awards in November. Fellow honouree Jean-Luc Godard did not attend the ceremony.

Oscars co-hosts Anne Hathaway and James Franco opened the 2011 Academy Awards with a hilarious spoof poking fun at the Best Picture nominees, while 2010 presenter Alec Baldwin and Morgan Freeman also made surprise appearances in the skit.

Gwyneth Paltrow, Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi, Randy Newman, and Florence Welch and A.R. Rahman provided the music for the night as they performed the tracks nominated for Best Original Song.

And Celine Dion took to the Kodak Theatre stage in Los Angeles to sing Smile during the ceremony's annual In Memorium segment, remembering the stars lost in the past 12 months, including Tony Curtis, Leslie Nielsen, Dennis Hopper, Pete Postlethwaite and Gloria Stuart.

Liz Taylor celebrates 79th birthday in hospital

LOS ANGELES�? A spokeswoman for Elizabeth Taylor says the two-time Oscar winner will spend her birthday watching the Academy Awards in a Los Angeles hospital room, where she's recovering from treatment for congestive heart failure.

Sally Morrison says Taylor will be rooting for "The King's Speech" to win Hollywood's highest honor. Taylor turns 79 Sunday.

Morrison says a proper birthday celebration is planned for when the screen legend returns home.

Taylor has been hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center since early this month. She disclosed her heart condition in November 2004.

Taylor won Oscars for "Butterfield 8" in 1960 and "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" in 1966.

Well, they?re taking the news pretty well!

In light of the news that Paris Hilton?s $3,200 birthday cake was stolen by a drunken party crasher, the company that baked it, Lucid Absinthe, has issued the following statement:

?It is very unfortunate that someone stole the cake from Paris?s birthday party. We had the cake designed especially for Paris with Lucid in the batter and a beautiful representation of Lucid?s artwork on it, which she had requested to meet the Moulin Rouge theme of the party. We?re happy that Paris and her guests were able to enjoy a night of Lucid cocktails, including the Paris Lemonade / Paris frozen Lucid Sorbet ? and only wish that the guests could have tried her delicious cake. 'Teen Mom' 'devastated' over nude pic scandal

"Teen Mom" star Amber Portwood is doing her best to stay positive in light of the series of nude photos that hit the internet Thursday.

Cameron Diaz: "I Love Porn!"

In her new film, Bad Teacher, Cameron Diaz drinks, smokes pot and swears up a storm. And it turns out the actress, 38, likes to indulge in a bit of adult behavior off screen as well.

On Thursday's Jimmy Kimmel Live, when the host asked her if she enjoyed watching dirty movies, Diaz replied, "I love porn!"

And it seems the racy flicks are a favorite pastime for the star when she's traveling.

I mean, I?ve put her in a couple of rehabs over the years, and, you know, it?s not about the rehab, it?s about where she is personally in her sobriety and her growth. She?s matured considerably,? Dina told George Stephanopoulos on ABC?s ?Good Morning America? on Friday.

Dina revealed that she?s uncertain how Lindsay will fare against her felony grand theft charge, where she?s accused of stealing a necklace from a jewelry store.

Laura Croft took a break from time spent lying in the sun doing nothing to take a photo shoot opportunity with group frenemy Jayde Nicole. Details on the gig are sketchy ? especially considering Jayde doesn?t really know what the business is about minus a dubious combination of online poker, lingerie, the internet and other stuff. Laura plays detective for much of the episode, trying to deduce a business plan. The pop princess debuted the music video for her new single, ?Hold It Against Me,? on MTV and Vevo.com on Thursday night ? and the sexy singer definitely brought her A-game!

In the video ? ripe with fast cuts and multiple glaring product placements (including her fragrance Radiance, Makeup Forever, Sony and the online dating site PlentyOfFish.com) ? a lean, glammed-up Britney is seen prowling around the futuristic space, surrounded by various TV equipment and rocking a white bridal-esque gown, before slowly ascending toward the ceiling. Brit then shows off her famous abs in her signature white midriff-baring crop-top and her itty-bitty denim cut-off shorts.

Next, it?s a Britney-on-Britney catfight as the singer appears to wage war on? herself (in stilettos, or course), before shooting neon-colored paint at the surrounding TV monitors from her fingertips, flinging color all over her formerly pristine white gown (think: Willow Smith?s ?Whip My Hair).

Brit also rocks a black leather mini-dress for the video?s high-energy dance sequence.

Back in January, ?Hold It?s? choreographer Brian Friedman ? the mastermind behind the superstar?s ?Boys? and ?Me Against the Music? moves ? teased fans by announcing he was excited to ?get [Britney] dancing really hard again.?

?She?s had a couple of years where she?s been dancing different styles of dance and it hasn?t been me,? Brian told MTV News at the time. ?It?s not necessarily that she hasn?t been dancing, it hasn?t been what I get from her, and what I seem to get from her is this tigress quality. And she prowls.

?She really dominates when she does my choreography, and that?s what I wanted to get back,? he added.

The choreographer faced a bit of heat from Britney?s legions of fans on Thursday (after a 30-second teaser for the video was released) who felt Britney?s footwork didn?t live up to Brian?s boasting.

>> yes, i was. you did speak to him off-camera and had several phone conversations with him since. i know you cannot share those phone conversation, for somebody like ted, susan boyle, for example who goes from obscurity to instant fame and notoriety, what does that do to somebody already fragile?

>> that's the point. from somebody alreadyna gill, you're starting with a place that has no foundation. what you really need to do is understand, it can explode and all this happened so quickly and so many people trying to pay attention , perhaps not really to what was best for him. there wasn't really a balance what the opportunities were that were being presented to him of what was good for him for the short and long run. there's a risk and the direct answer to your question is, it's pretty risky business .

>> there's a very slippery slope . what you're looking at what happened is the big quipicture of fame and fortune but not paying attention to where he came from for him to get to the place he can handle some of this, not all of it. how many people could handle it if they didn't have his background?

>> i'm skeptical. i'm often skeptical in situations like this. this is a man with a lifetime of substance abuse and choirms and criminal behavior, theft, forgery, robbery, he may not be telling the truth about many things. it's part of his personality is that he's not necessarily going to be honest.

>> because of the fact that he's an addict?

>> because of the fact he's an addict. addiction doesn't happen in a vacuum. he has personality problems and has alienated with his family and mother and you can see in theseventi ventiinterventions when he go t together with his mother they're not really willing to give him a second chance?

>> his mother was on and was angry with him.

>> he's burned a lot of bridges.

>> how important is it for him to mend those fences to lead a life going forward?

>> it's very important to mend fences and deal with issues that caused some of this disillusion of his relationship. it's not which comes first, the chicken or the egg ? it's all part of the process of trying to get out of the limelight and be able to heal and begin to deal with his own personal issues, some of which have played out with his relationships, so that if you're in a private and personal, protected and safe environment, you can talk about issues that have to do with counseling and your own issues having to deal with addiction and then deal with them. the whole thing being played out in front of the whole world is not really a healthy way to approach this.

>> did the limelight trigger trigger -- let's say he is being honest, hasn't had a drink in two years, did the limelight trigger drinking his daughter talks about?

>> addicts relapse when things are going well for them, afraid of failing or being found out a fraud, not comfortable with success, comfortable with chaos and things falling apart . success can trigger a relapse.

Rihanna?s doing a Black Swan theme in her new Reb?l Fleur perfume ad. That?s just our take on it, given all the feathers. And she does go from a peach outfit to a black one. But it?s apparently supposed to be an Alice in Wonderland-type fantasy.

Rihanna is expected to sing at Sunday?s Grammys, but E!?s Marc Malkin is reporting she is battling a flu. She was supposed to perform five songs at last night?s Unforgettable Evening gala benefitting EIF?s Women?s Cancer Research Fund. But organizers were told just a couple of hours before the event that she was too sick to make it.

UPDATE: If Rihanna does make it to the Grammys, she won?t see Chris Brown there.

Both stars are nominated for awards, but a 2009 court order remains in place for the singers to steer clear of each other, and Brown is not expected to attend Sunday?s awards show, reports AP. He is scheduled to perform on Saturday Night Live.

Rihanna?s attorney, Donald Etra, says his client would like the order downgraded so the pair could be in closer proximity without risking Brown?s probation. But he says no discussions about requesting a new order from the judge have taken place.

The mother of Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester, who has led an interesting life (she gave birth to Leighton while in prison), is making headlines again.

This time, the ex-drug trafficker is accused of threatening the star's former friend Laurel Wiig. A restraining order against Meester's mom was issued.

Leighton's mother and manager, Constance, is said to have threatened to "f**k up" and "hunt down and kill" Wiig. It's very much unclear why.

"She is an addict and had made a threat to kill," Wiig described.

A judge ordered Constance to stay 100 yards away from Wiig.

Meester, who can currently be seen in The Roommate as well as Gossip Girl, said recently that she's dealt with turmoil in life by turning to music.

Hopefully, she won't have to deal with much more like this.

But Rihanna was set to be silenced in another way, as a Radio 1 spokesperson has actually revealed the toned down track was sent through by her recording company Def Jam, in order to up the chances of it being aired during the day: ?During daytime hours, as younger audiences are listening, we are playing the radio edit which is called Come On. However, we will continue to play the original track in specialist shows with an appropriate introduction.

?It is common practice to play radio edits of certain tracks in daytime.?

'Malcolm' star allegedly punched his girlfriend

Former child star Frankie Muniz got into an intense fight with his girlfriend ? in which he allegedly held a loaded gun to his head and later punched her, according to a police report obtained by TMZ.

A Friday report filed in Phoenix, Ariz. states that the Malcolm in the Middle star, now 25, got into a heated argument with girlfriend Elycia Turnbow over "prior relationships."

The report reads that Muniz "grabbed a gun and held it to his head, possibly with the intent of committing suicide." After a short visit to the hospital, Muniz returned home, and the couple began arguing again ? in which, the police file says, Muniz "punched" Turnbow and "threw her into a wall."

Cops later found a loaded gun at their home, which they have impounded. Both Muniz and Turnbow were charged with disorderly conduct. Cops warned the couple that they could face jail time if another violent incident occurs.

He was not suicidal.� She was not assaulted. They have been together since the incident; are still together and are moving forward with their lives and with their relationship."

Charlie Sheen Warns: I Could "Unravel Pretty Quickly" Again

Charlie Sheen says he's all better...for now.

A week and a half after his 36-hour bender -- reportedly featuring cocaine and porn stars -- landed him in the hospital, the actor wants to get back to work on Two and a Half Men.

Sheen, 45, was a surprise caller Monday morning on the Dan Patrick Show -- sounding raspy-voiced and defiant about CBS' decision to put his hit show on hiatus while he recovers via at-home rehab.

"I just figured I was supposed to go back to work because I'm ready," the actor explained. "They said, 'You get ready [and] we'll get ready.' And I got ready."

The father of five blasted the network's perceived meddling into his "personal life." (There is a morals clause in his show contract.)

"Nit pick, nit pick, but I don't think [the clause] covers, 'Let us totally dominate and interfere with your personal life,'" Sheen complained. "I have a contract. They said, 'Get your act together,' and I did."

To those skeptical about such a fast turnaround? "I heal really quickly, but I also unravel pretty quickly," Sheen warned. "So get me right now, guys. Get me right now!"

It's been almost three weeks since Charlie Sheen's latest brush with alcohol, cocaine, porn stars and an ambulance.

With so much time having passed, the actor has a message for Two and a Half Men producers: let me work!!!

During an interview on The Dan Patrick Show this morning, Sheen explained the basis for his raspy voice: over the weekend, he visited the set of his show and banged on the door, yelling to be let in. Mark Zuckerberg claims he?s being stalked by a man who?s been sending him creepy messages through Facebook and threatening his safety ? TMZ has learned. Zuckerberg has obtained a restraining order against 31-year-old Pradeep Manukonda ? after Mark filed legal papers claiming the guy has tried to ?follow, surveil and contact Mr. Zuckerberg using language threatening his personal safety? ? and the safety of his girlfriend and his sister.

Law enforcement sources tell us Pradeep had gone to several Facebook offices in Palo Alto attempting to contact Mark to ask for money for his financially-strapped family.

According to the legal docs, Facebook security also intercepted Pradeep at Mark?s home on January 24 just as he was about to walk up the front steps.

Cops gave Pradeep a verbal warning ? but Mark claims the guy has continued to try to contact him through the mail ? even sending flowers to his home with� Hand-written� Letter on January 28.�

Angelina Jolie denies reports of Haiti adoption

LOS ANGELES�? Angelina Jolie has no plans to adopt a child from earthquake-hit Haiti, despite persistent reports in British newspapers that she is about to add another child to her brood of six, a spokesman for the actress said on Friday.

Adam Waldman, an advisor to Jolie in her philanthropic efforts, told U.S. news website The Daily Beast that the Oscar-winning actress was in Haiti working on a project to improve child welfare and safety.

Will Brad and Angelina adopt from Haiti next?

Jolie has never even met the four-year-old Haitian orphan called Leah, who British and other newspapers claim she is in the process of adopting, Waldman told The Daily Beast.

"Earlier this week, the Daily Mirror U.K. and others reported that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are in the process of adopting a child from Haiti," Waldman said in a statement.

"There is no truth to these rumors.

"Rather, Ms. Jolie is focused on enhancing the welfare and legal protection of children within Haiti. As such, she has been meeting with government of Haiti officials, Haitian legal experts and non-governmental organizations regarding a new initiative of the Jolie-Pitt Foundation. The recently launched Jolie Legal Fellows Program will assist the justice system in Haiti to improve child protection," the statement added.

Jolie, 35, and partner Brad Pitt have six children, three of whom ? Maddox, Pax and Zahara ? were adopted from Cambodia, Vietnam and Ethiopia respectively.

The star of "Salt" and "The Tourist" was named a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador in 2001 and has made several trips to Haiti, as well as donating $1 million to relief efforts for the victims of the 2010 earthquake.

ANISTON WANTS TO MOVE TO NEW YORK
Jennifer Aniston wants to move to New York.

The "Just Go With It" actress - who has recently been spotted looking at a $15 million West Village condominium apartment - misses the city where she spent a lot of her childhood and attended acting school and has decided the time is right for her to return.

In an interview on TV show "Good Morning America," she said: "I've been looking and looking and looking. I grew up here (New York City). I miss it."

"There is nothing like being in the city that is just the city of Everyman. It's all walks of life - I love that!"

The 41-year-old former "Friends" star - who currently lives in Beverley Hills, California - has revealed her decision to move "back home" came to her in the middle of a night, when she woke up and decided she needs to "simplify" her life.

She said: "This summer I woke up in the middle of the night in London, and I couldn't sleep, and I knew I really needed to simplify my life. And along with that came the thought, 'I should sell my house.'"

"I was like, 'Wait, I just built it; it was like my heart, my project, my love,' but I had the realization that it is just too much for me. I'm not this person."

"I'm looking for little spots in New York City to go back home. There are all sorts of things that are going to be happening in the near future, so I'm excited. I don't know what they are, but that's the fun part."
